The vlog that must be a blog, due to technical difficulties

My friend CJ has started doing a vlog.  (That's a video blog, in case you were wondering.)  You can watch it here:  http://www.youtube.com/user/seigejay722

Well, one that he posted was a 25 Questions thing.  I wanted to do a video response, since I have a webcam on my laptop.  However, the internal microphone is rubbish.  Picture's fine, but the sound is no bueno.

So, I'm responding via my blog, where sound is not necessary!

1.  Do you have any pets?
No, I do not personally have any pets, but I live with my cousin Melissa and she has 3 birds, plus 2 more at the moment that she is bird-sitting.

2.  Name three things in your general vicinity.
Scrapbooking supplies, a bottle of water, a package of DayQuil Sinex

3.  What's the weather like today?
It was cold and rainy today.  Kinda gloomy.  I think summer is leaving us!

4.  Do you drive, and if so, have you crashed?
I do drive.  I've been driving for quite awhile.  And I have been in some minor fender-benders, but nothing serious.  Knock on wood.

5.  What time did you wake up this morning?
I can't remember when I woke up, but I got up sometime after 8 or 9 am.

6.  When was the last time you showered?
This morning.

7.  What was the last movie you saw?
In the theater, I think it was "Ramona and Beezus" and at home on DVD, it was "Date Night."

8.  What does your last text message say?
My last incoming is from Richard Butler reminding me to come help clean the church.  The last outgoing was to my brother, telling him that I had just picked up a silent auction item that my sister in law was going to want to buy.

9.  What is your ringtone?
It depends on who is calling me.  If it's family, it's "American Dancing" from The Light in the Piazza.  If it's friends, it's the last part of the overture for "Titanic: the Musical".  If it's my boss, it's "Ride of the Valkyries."  If it's someone who shall remain nameless, it's the last part of the overture for "Mary Poppins."  And if it's someone who is not in my phone book, it's "The Coast of Calicia" from the latest Celtic Woman CD.

10.  Have you ever been to a different country?
Earlier this year I visited the United Kingdom for two weeks!  Specifically, England, Wales, and Scotland.

11.  Do you like sushi?
NO!!!  I don't even like fish when it's cooked.  Do you think I'm going to eat it raw?

12.  Where do you buy your groceries?
King Soopers in north Loveland.  Most of the time.

13.  Have you ever taken medication to make you fall asleep faster?
Tylenol PM and NyQuil.  Not at the same time, though.

14.  How many siblings do you have?
I have 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 sister-in-law

15.  Do you have a desktop or a laptop.
Laptop

16.  How old will you be on your next birthday?
Nunya.  As in nunya business.  It's not polite to ask a lady her age.

17.  Do you wear contacts or glasses?
(Here is where I wish I was doing a video.  I am currently wearing my glasses and I was going to say no, then adjust my glasses and say "Oh, wait....yes.")  Yes, I wear glasses, and sometimes I wear contacts.

18.  Do you color your hair?
Sure do!  I color it basically my natural color.  Why?  Because I'm too young to have gray hair, that's why!

19.  What are you planning on doing today?
Well, today is almost over.  In fact, I should already be in bed asleep.  So I'll tell you about tomorrow.  Church in the morning (it's Stake Conference!).  Tomorrow is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so we will be partying in the afternoon and evening, of course.  I also will be going to callbacks for Bye Bye Birdie at the Candlelight!

20.  When was the last time you cried?
Not sure.  Probably the other night when I couldn't sleep.  (I have a raging sinus infection right now, and I was miserable a couple of nights ago.)

21.  What is your perfect pizza topping?
Meat!  I love ordering Pizza Hut's Meat Lover's Pizza.

22.  Do you prefer hamburgers or cheeseburgers?
Cheeseburgers, definitely!!

23.  Have you ever had an all-nighter?
Yes, when I went to New York City a couple of years ago, we had to catch an early flight from LaGuardia, but we were staying on Staten Island.  We wanted to see one more show, so we got back to the house late and just packed up an left for Queens.  We got to the airport WAY too early, though.  But we pretty much stayed up all night!

24.  What is your eye color?
Blue!  Mostly...

25.  Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Coke?
No, but I can tell the difference between Sprite and 7up.  Go me!

So there you have it.  This would have been much more fun to do via video.  Maybe I'll look into getting a good external microphone!
